On the occasion of Design Miami/Art Basel Paris, Yves Salomon Éditions presents a new installation in its Parisian showroom, created in collaboration with Dimorestudio. Titled“ Un Souffle de Vent”, this immersive presentation continues the creative dialogue between the two houses,unveiling new pieces from the collection while reintroducing works first shown at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Inspired by Georges Perec’s Les Choses, the installation imagined by Dimorestudio immersesvisitors in a poetic atmosphere where impermanence and memory converge. As Perec writes:"Everything would be brown, ochre, fawn, yellow: a universe of slightly faded colors, with tones carefully, almost precious, balanced, among which some lighter spots would surprise–the almost garish orange of a cushion, a few multicolored volumes lost among the bindings. In broad daylight, the light pouring in would make this room a little sad, despite the roses. It would be an evening room.In winter, with curtains drawn, and a few points of light–the corner of the bookshelves, the recordplayer, the desk, the coffee table between the two sofas, the wavering reflections in the mirror–andlarge areas of shadow where all things would shine, polished wood, heavy rich silk, cut crystal,supple leather–it would be a haven of peace, a land of happiness."
The collection reflects Dimorestudio’s sculptural and narrative approach: playful volumes, tactile surfaces, refined materials, and a subtle balance between minimalism and decorative richness. Each piece, including textiles such as rugs and blankets, transcends mere functionality to become an object of contemplation, blurring the line between design and art. With“Un Souffle de Vent”, Yves Salomon Éditions reaffirms its dedication to exploring new aesthetic and creative territories, merging its exceptional craftsmanship with Dimorestudio’s singular vision.
